About the brand
Aaron Probert founded Labre’s Hope after he heard a homeless woman's story whose usual spot was across the road from him. It was a story of domestic abuse which led to alcohol escapism and becoming isolated from her support network due to her abuser. As a result, She ended up living on the streets. Moved by this story, Aaron wrote his dissertation based on a business model and decided to make it come to life and so Labre’s Hope was born!
This wonderful enterprise works with people who are at risk of homelessness or on a recent journey out of homelessness that are ready for employment. They are referred to Labre’s Hope through other homelessness charities and organisations such as Crisis, Shiloh, Shelter, Rush House, or the SYHA. Employed on a part-time or full-time basis, the work helps to provide a stable and secure salary that equates to the London Living Wage. With full training and skills provided, the makers at Labre’s Hope specialise in producing wellness products such as hand poured soy wax candles and cold pressed soaps which are biodegradable and vegan and smell amazing!
