The Oregonalf designed by Spanish based brand, Ecoalf are made with Sorona® which is a biopolymer derived from corn production residues. The algae is considered “recycled”, as it is harvested to clean water channels where it's rapid growth can have a negative effect on ecosystems. Therefore, instead of simply being considered waste, they are used in parts of the sole.
