Why Choose Linen?

Linen which derives from the Flax plant can be grown with just rainwater in most cases, thereby significantly reducing its water footprint. It is also a plant that is resistant to infestations and diseases, thereby reducing the use of pesticides and fertilisers. It adapts well to poor soil and can be grown in soil that is unsuitable for other food crops. It is often grown in crop rotation, improving the health of the soil. It is biodegradable and compostable and what's more, the entire plant can be used in production of the yarn.

Why choose Organic Cotton?

Regular cotton is a very pesticide-intensive crop but organic fibres are grown without the use of harmful pesticides or genetically modified organisms so promote a healthier environment for wildlife, animals and people.

Social conditions are higher in organic textile factories so this cotton production can help farmers find a way out of poverty. Organic textiles don't contain allergenic, carcinogenic or toxic chemicals and as a result are a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre. In addition, less water is the manufacturing process.
